The Archbishop of York, Dr Sentamu met Pope Benedict in Rome last week.
Dr Sentamu gave the Pope gifts from Yorkshire, including bottles of “Holy Grail” and “Black Sheep” ales.
The Archbishop discussed Anglican-Roman Catholic relations with Cardinal Walter Kasper, the President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. He also prayed at the chapel for the murdered Anglican Archbishop of Uganda, Janini Luwum, in the church of San Bartolomeo on the Tiber Island.
