WYDALE HALL
Wydale Hall is a beautiful, large, gracious old house run by a small, dedicated and caring team as the Diocese of York's Retreat and Conference Centre.
The house is set in fourteen acres of formal gardens and woodlands, ideal for gentle strolls, one mile north of the A170 main Scarborough to Pickering road.
As well as the newly refurbished licensed bar and lounge, guests can relax, pray or work in a T.V sitting room, library, Conference Room and Chapel.
There are 32 warm and comfortable bedrooms with tea making facilities and en suite bathrooms.
There are panoramic views of the Vale of Pickering and of the distant Yorkshire Wolds from some rooms, while others enjoy sweeping views of the Hall's own gardens and grounds. There is one ground floor bedroom and a chairlift for ease of access to the first floor.

The Abbey of St Laurence at Ampleforth is the largest Benedictine community in Britain. 78 men live according to the Rule of St Benedict, under an Abbot. It is a vowed life of prayer andwork ('ora et labora' is one of the mottos of the Benedictines) which we undertake together, by God's grace, as brothers.
We are situated in an attractive valley on the southern edge of the North Yorkshire Moors national park.
