Chamonix Mont Blanc

Spectacular mountain scenery on route to Europe's highest mountain, Mont Blanc, and extensive similar range surrounding the town of Chamonix. We do ascend but enjoying exploring the town and views from there, along with our picnic lunch. The outward journey included a short stop at Col des Aravis from where we have our first view of the Alpine peak and the local cows persuade us that the holiday souvenir has to be a cow bell for the kitchen back home.
