The ecumenical charity ChurchAds.net launched its new poster for its Christmas advertising campaign on Wednesday. It shows an ultrasound scan of a foetus with a halo.
The chairman of the charity, Francis Goodwin, said that the poster picked up on the trend of announcing a new child with an ultrasound photo. Last year’s campaign, using a painting of the Holy Family in a bus shelter, was supported by more than 700 churches. Organisers hope to more than double the number this year. Mr Goodwin said: “By booking soon, church groups can buy a two-week display at their local bus stop for £150.”
