Pilgrimage Retreat

DAY FIVE

Time to return home after mass and coffee and a final visit to Mother Mary’s bedroom to share her Suplice recorded there.

On my way to the coach station I visit the huge Methodist Central Hall(opposite the City Hall in Corporation Street) where I cam more than 40 years ago to resign from the Methodist Ministry in order to be ordained priest in the Anglican Church. The property is now dilapidated and in other hands. Methodist social work has been transferred to nearby Carrs Lane Congregational Church leaving just a tiny worship are for the hundred strong local Chinese Church. The pastor from Singapore was most welcoming and after coffee and fellowship transported me to the coach station.

The reverse experience of my outward journey brought me back to Scarborough. I was first on going with one other and alone at destinations end apart from the driver who kindly dropped me off at the top of the street where we live.

So much has happened this few days that I believe its fruit in part immediate will continue to become ripe for picking for many days to come. Thanks be to God.
