Atheist bus campaign draws 57 complaints
LONDON - UPDATED The advertising watchdog has received 57 complaints, rising from 48 yesterday, from members of the public and religious groups about the Atheist bus campaign running on the sides of 800 buses across the UK.

Clifford Longley, has complained to theAdvertising Standards Authority about the atheist bus. More than 50 others have also done so, including Stephen Green of Christian Voice, so there will be an inquiry. What fun! That will be a judgement to read.

The British Humanist Association bus campaign, which tells us to stop worrying because there probably isn't a God, really is an answer to prayers. In the first place, it's counter-productive: plaster double-deckers with posters about the existence of God and you'll make people think about him for the first time in years. Second - and here my heart really begins to fill with the joy of the Holy Spirit - it looks as if the BHA will hasten the end of the three-minute morning torture known as Thought for the Day.

The ASA response will indeed be fun, especially given the drivel contained in Green's submission and in that attributed to Longley (but which appears to have been plagiarised from one of a number of websites). Hopefully some of the 50 or so other submissions will be rather more substantive.
I thought Green was going to be bankrupted by legal costs after his failed blasphemy case.
